Film Review: Today’s Special

Todays-SpecialThis is another chef-makes-good film.  A little too predictable, a little corny, and the tension between father and son is a little too easy.  Yet.  And then again.  Maggie and I watched it last night and found the film thoroughly enjoyable.  Maybe partly because our first date was at an Indian restaurant on Shattuck Avenue.  Who can say?

I remember seeing it recently and liking it. It’s nice to see comedians passing into the realm of believable characters in a low budget movie.
